Cheryl and Tim have been collaborating since 2006, when a chance meeting with guitars in a mutual friend's living room changed both of their lives forever. Cheryl's playing style favors open tunings and staccato rhythms; Tim likes to add "sprinkles" over the top with alternate voicings and lead runs. They have performed together in a variety of settings, from celebrations and contemplative services to coffeehouses in Japan. Cheryl's music reflects her passion to commune with the Divine. Moved by the power and beauty of nature, she enjoys hiking and playing her guitar near flowing waters, regularly spending time in silence. A guitarist since 1974, Cheryl serves as a song leader for Dances of Universal Peace and is a member of Prema Shakti, a kirtan group based in Durango, Colorado. In addition to these, her healing work includes using music as a therapeutic modality to serve survivors in Louisiana in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Tim started playing guitar in 1983, accidentally breaking strings until there were only two left on the homemade "kit" guitar his father built. After eventually becoming comfortable picking out melodies on those two strings, he added another. These days he plays with all six strings, incorporating music into all aspects of his life. In 2004 he was awarded an endorsement from CA Guitars, of Lafayette, Louisiana, for his original arts-based work with children in the field of diversity education.

Tim holds a master's degree in education and is a certified reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho) master/teacher. Cheryl is a certified reiki (Usui Shiki Ryoho) practitioner and has been a member of Dances for Universal Peace and Prema Shakti for a number of years. Both energy workers are experienced in the subtleties of providing verbal and nonverbal emotional support in a variety of settings, and between them have worked with victims of natural disaster, survivors of domestic and gang violence, people living with terminal illness, and grieving families in hospice settings.

Tim loves lasagna, the writings of Haruki Murakami, and a good pair of boots. Cheryl loves tuning to 432, smelling the flowers, and dark chocolate. They both look forward to performing for you soon.
